Any Pulp Fiction fan worth a pinch of salt, knows what this refers to, but for those who may be fans but forgot:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUuwd8Z0l_4

This is one of the classic Pulp Fiction scenes.

I bought a wallet from this great shop that has quirky sheet, that apart from the stitching is a bit different it is identical.

$30 - and good quality. What Tarantino tragic wouldn't want it. It has a presence all its own. It doesn't like other wallets.

I'll leave it out on the bar hanging out with the schooner of XXXX, the Nokia phone and long distance glasses (I have reading glasses usually on my head) and I've had a couple of people comment and laugh when they notice it. I always ask them if they know what is references, and they just smile quietly and say 'Yeah dude - Samuel Jacksons wallet out of Pulp Fiction"

Then we chat Tarantino.... :e_wink:

It's a fsucking great wallet. I love it.

Guess what. In the window where your licence normally hangs out (mine isn't atm  ), there is a little card with that whole thing written it. I read it every day and see the scenes in my head. Great stuff. I love my wallet.

I loved how Samuel recited that in that scene. Informed Tim Roth if he heard that his arse was basically cut grass. Very dryly without the high emotion, in your face danger and gun shots that normally happen.

He's turned and is going to walk the earth.

Then he leans forward and says "But I'm trying reaaaallll hard"

I love my wallet.

With everything in it. Cash cards, I.D, everything, all that.

Faulty leather jacket with a baddd pocket.

Through the most odd circumstance I get a call today and it appears at my front door. 8O 8O 8O 8O

Boy, was I happy..............I've lost so many wallets. I hate it.

Why does that not surprise me in the slightest.

Shocking ADHD. Very hard to keep a track of phone, keys, wallet, reading glasses, prescription sunglasses, three newspapers, umbrella, various car magazines, etc without a single place to gather them like a woman with a hand bag.

Sometimes something gives and Mr Wallet is always out and about, so is a good chance of going AWOL. I have well organised strategies to cope with this, but sometimes steps slip.

Bad ADHD. I'll wander away from anything if something else interests me sometimes and talk to you tomorrow. It's fun but fraught.

After many many prayers to various things (including the wallet, to come home), my B.M.F has returned, miraculously, to my front door. :e_wink: Boy was I H.A.P.P.Y. Flying Spaghetti Monster love good samaritians and decent people.

Me and BMF are now forever bonded at the hip through bad experiences.

And right there is evidence there is no supernatural force like Karma which influences events. Because if there was, somebody who vandalises random cars on the street wouldn't get things returned to them.

Only overtly rich peoples cars with really, really annoying ego plates. Stuff like 'IRULE' on the back of a top range AMG - along those lines. Scratching is rare - spitting on their drivers window is more common

So, you have a problem with people who have an inflated opinion of themselves?

Only if the inflation is totally unwarranted and fundamentally based on how they lucked on to lots of money through property speculation. Which my pet dog probably could have done better them in the boom.

You just know them. They are detestable....I don't like them, and think they just need bringing down a step or two because they believe they rule the planet and are the smartest people who ever lived because they made a small fortune out of real estate in the boom.

I just have real issues with that snob superior 'tude from G.C fsuckwits.

So how do you feel about self aggrandising, drunken Mensa rejects living on Daddy's money in Daddy's unit and not having a car to put vanity plates on?

I'm lost as to what is not to like and it is doable, when you know you have far more than earned a break. Given up your entire life, dropped it on the floor, splat, to move suddenly and look after your dying parent with alzheimers dementia for a couple years when your mother commited suicide. Dunno what I can tell you. You come out the back end of that experience a different person.

P.S. For what I care, about what you know about me, let's get some facts clear.

1. It's a third my unit now. So I'm an owner. I own it. And I lived here off and on for over 25 years mostly on. So it's kind of very much home to me. Not just a squat that I wandered into.

2. Daddys money is yet to come.

3. I cared for both my parents 100% for years in unbelieveable circumstances. Gave up my whole life at the time to do it, because that is what you do for your parents when they are screwed. They did it for you.

What have you done for your parents lately?

4. I've already got a car thanks, if you were offering to buy me one.

It's a Polo GTI 1.8 turbo, manual. Tuned. Goes like stink. I just can't drive it ATM (well legally anyway and I've been a good boy in that area) and I can assure you it won't ever ever have ego plates on it.

5. And fsuck yeah I drink because I want to escape the world because the world is largely a difficult over regulated poo hole. Drinking for leisure makes it easier to cope with. Plus I just really like drinking and have since I was 17. Country boys from Central Queensland tend to have that as a hobby because there is nothing else to do and the socialising is great fun! :e_wink:

You own a third of it/ So you're two thirds tenant.

Having your mindless father roaming the streets while you're at the pub isn't 100%, no matter how you try to spin it.
I went to see my mother yesterday. I may even go and see her again in December. My father can just die for all I care.

I know. But not being allowed to use it is the same as not having one.

The rest of us manage to cope with the difficult over regulated poo hole without too much ... well, difficulty. I have a social phobia and I still manage to socialise without having to be off my tits.
You drink because your brain is broken.

Wrong. It's very controlled. A beer an hour, who cares? That's polite stuff from where I come from.
