The last three job interviews I did (which were middish/high level management sort of things and quite responsible) I'd get ripped in their staff toilets on dope just before walking through the big boys doors.

And that was after I couple of beers in the car park first then brush your teeth and mouthwash after the dope in the toilet. Look at yourself in the mirror, and say "Just fsucking ace them - you know better than them and you are a total charmer when you need to be"

It sharpened you and you became really enthusiastic, animated and quite talkative. More than I normally am. :hehe:

Got the job every time. (to me).

I saw it as my little piece of perverse private 'fsuck you and your job I need for the $$$$, pal. I'll get off and be different before you even start paying me because I think this stuff is sheet but I'll play the game, because I have to. For now.' :e_wink:

Yeah?? you try dealing with 400 rooms of people whose minds have gone lalalalala because they are on holidays and just go werewolf at midnight to 0500 so anything goes whilst trying to audit every single transaction that happened across three bars and four restaurants plus the front desk and you have a very specific time imperative and dealing with drunken maniacs, who sometimes (twice) pull guns and shove them in your face. And prepare for Tom Jones and entourage to check in. And that's just off the top of my head.

Oh and escorting a drug dealing fsucking maniac out of the hotel who has a looooooooong criminal history and starts doing round-houses in the lift hard enough to make it seize and you seriously fear for your life because he is the most violent you've ever met and you are in a jammed lft with him for an hour while you talk him down.

Cruzy job

There is no snoozing all night.

NOTHING you described is anything approaching management, it closer to bouncer.

Yeah? You try dealing with all that crap at once whist also being solely responsible for the lives of 5 other night staff on top. As well as the physical well being of a multi muti tens of million dollar huge chunk of realestate owned by well mannered people who could have you killed in a heartbeat. And balance to the cent every single cent that crossed it's merry way and deal with drunk insane guests at 0300 but with perfect aplomb, warriness, manners and genuine concern for them.

But still find ways to work the system while doing the job above and beyond. Because you care. :e_wink:

Not really bouncer terrirory. I fall over in strong wind.

We get it Peter, you worker bee brain can't comprehend what middle/upper management entails, you don't need to keep reminding us.

Hahahaha. I can manage the hell out of anything anytime. It isn't that hard. Most of the time I just think it's all silly nonsense and find ways to take advantage of it as best I can without getting caught whilst still doing the job better than anyone else ever could and ALWAYS keeping in mind genuienly the unspoken deep needs of the customer/guest/person. You must satisfy those to get your mental reward when you do it. I like helpiong people.

People are crazy not to employ me (not that I'm currently looking). I'll turn a business around in a couple of weeks (done it before more than once) by just dutifully doing the basics very very well.

Except alcohol consumption, safety of a disabled father, own health, anything technology related or life in general.

All managed. I'm sitting here typing. You try managing lots of that stuff all at once. And that is just the stuff you know from me. (I'm still holding off the wolves with a whip and a chair and do it very well).

Alcohol consumption?? It is managed to the enth degree. Possibly high by some peoples standards, but very controlled. Self medicating. Like people who drink coffee over and over all day. What's the diff?

So, being arrested for drink driving while your disabled father plays in traffic is your idea of good management.

Yeah - you try managing all that successfully. It isn't easy. I'm the sort of person you want on your team. I can deal with ANYTHING quite well.

Ask me about a plan to carry out petty crime on a certain situation and get away with it with it been untraceable. Give me ten minutes of contemplation and set me loose.

I am also very very good with people because I genuinely like them and to like help them. Usually....

That and painting WW2 military models perfectly. Particularly Tamiya. Oh and collecting 60s Accutron watches. I have about 30 now. I also know more than the average bear about fossils, stamps and coins.
